This training is designed to equip participants with essential skills to operate fire extinguisher, hose reel and to handle fire situation in the workplace.
Programme Outlines:
- Overview of Singapore Fire Safety Acts and Legislations
- Understand the characteristics of fire (with video)
- Understand human behaviour in a fire situation
- Common fire hazards and fire prevention
- Understanding workplace’s emergency response plan and evacuation procedures
- Roles and responsibilities of in-house Company Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- Practical use of fire-fighting equipment
- Means of Emergency Communication
Programme Outcomes:
On completion of this programme, participants will be able to:
- Understand the fire safety legislation & requirements
- Understand the basic principles of combustion and how fire spreads
- Understand human behaviour in a fire situation
- Identify potential fire hazards and execute control measures
- Understand the roles & responsibilities of CERT,
- Understand workplace’s emergency response plan, evacuation procedures
- Operate fire extinguisher and fire hose reel
- Respond and handle fire situation in a clam manner
- Be familiar with the use of difference communication means during emergencies
Who should attend?
In-house Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) or personnel assigned as first responder for workplace emergencies.
