The CERT Scheme was expanded to include a broader group of Public and Industrial premises with the amendments to the Fire Safety Act on 01 September 2013 and 01 March 2014.
Under the scheme, all premises are to provide their CERT with appropriate equipment to handle any fire incident, gas explosion or leakage, or other similar emergency involving petroleum and flammable materials stored or used in the premises;
The equipping requirement for the CERT is based on the premise’s tier classification as reference to the National CERT Standard Table below.
